Ishaq Khan
Freedom fighter, popular TV dramatist Ishaq Khan. He was born in Kansona village of Sirajganj district on 23 Shravan 1382. Father- late Yasin Khan, mother- late Mokseda Khanam. He started his education in the village primary school. Then Salap High School, Sirajganj College, finally Dhaka University. Started writing from school life. Participated in the War of Independence in 1971 with arms. Post-war state chaos turned him away from politics. Writing became an ideological tool. His first story book 'Nagna Natmandir' was published while he was a university student. Politics, social inconsistency, obesity, hidden life are the subjects of his writing. Dhaka University Student Parliament 'Daksu' organized Literary Week Best Story Writer Award, Amara Kajna Sahitya Puraskar, Fortnightly Crafts Writer Award, Sonar Bangla Sahitya Parishad Writer Award, Shubhajan Writer Award and Best Story Writer in the Story Competition organized by the Ministry of Information in the last eighties.
